A2 – Bunka Punch Needle (includes a needle threader)

The A-2 Bunka Punch Needle is made by the Tokyo Bunka Co.  and is best used with Tokyo Bunka brand kits.   It was designed to be used their fabrics.

This needle is an upgraded design and replaces the discontinued Tokyo Bunka N3 punch needle.  It contains a channel near the tip, used to guide the Bunka yarn through the shank and into the eye.  It creates a smoother stitching experience and, in most cases, does not require a governor.

The A-2 can also be used with Embroidery Floss when stitching traditional punch needle paintings.

Note:  The best needle for stitching BunkaCraft kits is the Clover Needle.  I have tested this needle extensively with our fabrics and found it to stitch perfectly.   It is made in Japan and can also be used with traditional punch needle work as well as Tokyo Bunka brand kits.
